hey wass-up guys? Anyone fimiliar with the sj's? My sj is overheating and then it starts to bogg-out:beatup:. It's good when i'm driving it regularly, but onces I hit the trails and it idels long it starts to overheat then bogg. I've checked the coolant level and the fan is still good, the only thing I haven't done yet is check if theres a thermostat and if it's still working. Any opinions?

Check the fan to make sure it is mounted in the right direction. I know mine had the same problem and I had to flip the fan to blow onto the engine rather than sucking from the engine.
It was a stupid thing and someone else noticed it while we were testing the new header for leaks

Check the coil, sounds like when it gets hot it's crapping out

I second that. the water pump isn't pumping enough at low idle and probably not enough under normal driving ether. my sisters did the same thing in her car and it was caused by her driving around in a lower gear for long periods of time cause she liked the sound and power. the high Rpms just kill them.
