Nothin new, Spidertrax uses a similiar unit on thier 1/4 elliptic kit. Allows the spring to be pulled straight rather than being twisted under hard articulation.

I wouldn't recommend them honestly, you can feel them "move"when you are cornering....kinda like the ass moves like your on mud but the truck still tracks correctly. Its not a huge swing by any means but you know that they are there....its a subtle thing.

Think about it, the front of the spring is still static but you are adding lateral movement to the back.

Mudslugs lying... they'll make it perform like a top heavy indy car... in Mud... They should make it corner like it's on rails... just that the rails aren't fixed to anything....

couldn't resist man...
Shiat on road, and great offroad...

Toyota's have been using them for years in the Rubicon..

What I found works mint instead of those pivots... u know that clip that ties the leafs in ur pack together about 1/4 and 3/4 way along... instead of having those tight around the leafs.. leave some space along the top and put a hardened bolt though it alowing ur packs to fan out a bit under droop. this way when do d twist up, only ur main leaf starts to twist and the rest dont hop in till u really twist em up and the main reaches that bolt tight. its worked real mint 4 me for a few years now.
