The Bobcaygeon area is starting to wear thin on my now, the challenge is gone out of it. anyone.....Bueller..

OK........
North on 69 to hwy 124. Turn right on 124. 10 or 15 minutes and you'll come to "BUNNY TRAIL" It goes north off 124. Take this to the end. Go left and go thru the lil town they call 'Ardbeg' keep going, follow the road and keep to the right. It will take you right into the power lines at Black lake. Go left before the lake, this is where the better rock stuff is. Enjoy and take pics.

Hi.
Actually, it is Lorimer Lake Rd that heads north off the 124 ( I live just minutes from it) . After a few Kms there is a 'Y' in the rd, Lorimer lake rd hooks to the right. Go straight (left) and it then becomes the Bunny Trail, which will take you to the 520 into Ardbeg.

The rock opportunities in Ardbeg are awesome, as is the 'C' trail ( snowmobile trail that follows the hydro lines back to the 124 ). There are other , shorted bush trails close to Parry Sound as well. If anyone is planning a trip up here and would like a trail guide or just another rig to wheel with, contact me at randy@zeuter.com
Cheers,
Morpheus

Hey I just may take you up on that one next spring. An uncle bought a cottage near Ardbeg and said come up and stay any time. I'd bring the sami for that one. Would be nice to have someone take us around.

I'm in.
There is lots of rock down the south trail.
Lets plan a weekend now so everone can get ready, or take time off.
If we pick a two day weekend and make it a three day we can camp a black lake.
Maybe early spring.

Hey guys, lets not let this thought die out.I know that I have bailed before on a few rides, but I would really like to keep this one a-float.It would be great to meet everyone ,and wheel too,so lets keep this idea going .Gearhead,I like that early spring idea, could be a pre-run too may 24th,to work the bugs out.

Well someone start throwing out dates, late April, early May what'll it be? Idea of place to meet and maybe camp or wheel. Could be a goody. I think camp grounds in the area wouldn't be open yet so anyone know a spot. Maybe we could start a poll as to what week-end would be best and the majority rules. Boy this is a good idea who came up with this?

April might work for me.

Bugs in the spring suck!!!

I'm not sure if the camping ban for long weekend will extend into 2005 fot the black lake area. I'll check it out in the spring.

for those of you that don't know the area

these are some photos of the camp at black lake and some rock down the south trail

That j33p with the purple paint and the flames. I have wheeled with him before. It was at the North hastings 4x4 competition. For a sprung under truck it worked really well. He had good driving skills and drove the whole course without any probs. i was talking with him during the event and a great guy as well. For a j33p owner that is :thefinger

Any hotels/motels around that area? I don't camp...I need a real shower to wash my adonis like body, a real bed to rest my weary bones and a real tolet to take a dump in. :thefinger

I'm in and so is George!!

Any time around late April or early May is good. I will be itching to do Ardbeg again by then. I live on the 124 a few miles from the Ardbeg turnoff, and I have a large property that I have hosted 4X4 groups that want to go wheeling before ( I have a bonfire pit, picnic tables, user-friendly outhouse, etc. Music and beer welcome).
Great way to meet people and make friends.

Whats wrong Super, worried that one running Toyo is better than 4 broken zooks? :thefinger

Dude when I am done with George he won't be Toyo anymore...he will be a "thing"

Superzuk
November 12th, 2004, 10:29 AM
no, I'm worried that my zuk will have to drive over the toy just to get to the obstacle because you will be stuck and  before even getting to the tuff stuff... :thefinger

Hehehehehehehehehehhehehehehehehehehehhehehehhehe

Which one of your zooks run? You realize they have to run and move if you want to offroad them eh...pushing it around would be a bitch.

Hey if ya want I'll tow ya around....you'll probably be on the strap anyway so it will just make it easier to leave you on there for the whole time....no worries George can handle it

Superzuk
November 12th, 2004, 10:58 AM
dude, two of my zooks run, only one drives right now....

ummm... as for the other, it is just a body... :D

as for the one in the garage, we'll see when it's done... :thefinger

as for the one I just got back, it was running and fine when I sold it.... and will run this saturday morning and for the sunday run I plan on going on before selling it again.

I only built that one for suziocan and then to sell. I did not intend it to be my final zuk, which is why I sold it immediately after suzican.
If you want to pick your truck up and come down sunday, drop by. There will probably be a few people who want to wheel, some local, and possibly some not local. But, I know you won't be able to make it, soooo....

No way...this weekend I am doing the following
Hanging kitchen cabinets
installing counter top
Painting everything
base board
Window casings
Cleaning out garage
Moving my tools to the new pad
Moving steel to the new pad

Plus, I have a roll cage to bend up for a brand new Targa car that is being built at the Rat Works (secret shop...shhh)

I'll take pics of the cage going in...

Now you tell me...where do I find time to wheel in there :thefinger
