well Lucy is back up and running on all fours again. Had her in the shop last week to replace the front houseing again. Thanks to MLC who very kindly donated the old front end out of his kick:beer:.
Hoping she might actually hold this time with the new mounting config. MLC had shaved of the stock mount off the third and replaced it with a loop of steel that clamps around the third and was then welded to the mount on the crossmember. Because of my suspension lift kit Depot had to modify how the loop was welded to the crossmemeber mount but we managed to get it in there nicely. We are not completely sure which mount was letting go first the one on the third member or the one on the passanger side of the houseing. Depot is quite convinced that it is the third thats letting go, I'm hoping he is right cause that would mean the problem is now solved, but either way with the loop on the third if it lets go again atleast it can't kick up and take out my bell housing again.
Ever since I installed the new housing mounts with the suspension lift kit I've had a bitch of a time getting bolts into the passenger side houseing mount and I cant get them torqued properly, so I'm a wee bit worried about them backing off ,so I was thinking about asking Depot to just tack the bolts to the mount for me , just as an extra messure to make sure they dont back off on me, I figure every little bit helps. So now all I need to do is replace my bellhouseing and I'm ready for suzican , I would like to get some skid plates fab up in time but I'm thinking thats probably not going to happen but atleast I'm running and will be there, now i just gotta hope she stay together for me.

I had the housing reinforced with braces and tons of aluminum weld. Best I can figure, as long as the thrid doesnt move that mount can not break. BTW, the housing u gave lucy was cracked.. right at the passenger cv output seal to the front of the housing right through but well covered in mudd. My machinist fortunatly spotted it and I had it welded back up so its better than new. I think this will solve her problems for now.. In the mean time, Im gonna take a sammy rear housing and get it machined to match the kick front style - aka the anvil. Hence get rid of all the aluminum compnents but that wont be done in time for suzican.

tx for the housing and mounts and for the suggestions...
