Ok, I have an 86 sami. Calmini 5" lift kit and thats about it. It NEEDS a carb in a badway, can not sdeem to find a good used stock one or a pony carb.
Yesterday I bought an 85 Toyota pickup. The frame is rusty and weak in some areas (can it be fixed?). Plans were to just use the axles and driveshafts, but the motor seems to run real smooth, esp. compared to my sami. It also hs powersteering( can this be used) Was going to try the same thing as scotty, trying to locate a lj80 tcase, but open to any ideas.

After there will be a calmini lift kit, and sami axles for sale. Rear has disc brakes as well as a spool. Maybe even four Yokohama Geolanders as well 31x10.50 15's in really good condition(vehicle trailered everywhere)

22 r is cast iron block which means heavy, the motor is quite a bit longer, intake and exhaust are on opposite sides need to run electric fan in front of rad but anything is possible. or you could shoot me $300 bones for my weber and intake, all you need is a new intake gasket

i have gone to efi and love it.
If you can find a cheap 89 sidekick the efi setup is quite easy to swp into a samurai. i found it easier to understand than the computer controled feedback carbs.
I'll have a look in the local wreckers sometime i think i remember seeing a pony or other early hyundi there.

OR I have a 91 efi sidekick that would make a nice and easy swap. I have it running but I think it needs a new injector which I'm pretty sure I can pick up cheap from a local srapper. I may be interested in a trade for the tires you mentioned there. You could pick up the entire truck from me minus the rear end, the front diff and the top. shoot me back if this sounds interesting to you.
