I have my first zooki and I have converted into a Bummer. Which is a 1/3 sized Hummer.
OK. Here's the problem; I have the tranny locked into 1st gear and can't get it out. Does anybody know why? Are there any suggestions? The running gear is stock and has'nt been touched, nor will it. I REALLY REALLY need to get this thing on the road by Friday 6/9/04 I have a car show to go to.
Help!
You can email me directly at mrea46@montrose.net.
TIA Mike, Bummer1 :yike

sound like ur stick may have jumped outta place... take the shifter handle out, look inside the opening.. with a screwdriver try to move ur fork back into place. When u have all 3 forks lined up in the center, then u can reasemble ur shifter.

Hey Depot,
I'll buy ya one when we meet. That realigning of the forks worked..
Now... What the hell causes the stick to jump out in the first place?
Thanks, Mike

wear and tear mostly.. slop in the forks/tranny... maybe even a broken shifter bolt (u know the pin that holds ur shifter in place and not spinning). it happens on my t-case often enough, usually when I try to short shift and dont move the shifter all the way over properly, leaving a gap in the forks, just enough to squeeze the shifter by and jam everything up.
its a common problem and a quick and easy fix requiring nuting more than a screwdriver, flashlight and some patience. To avoid it, make sure when u shift, u move the shifter all the way over from left to right then up and down, that way u engage the fork fully and wont pop out.
glad it worked out 4 yah. I'll be collecting that "one" if I ever make it down taht ways. :D
