Hi folks.
I was into sammys during the early/mid 90s, and everyone thought I was insane(Toyotas were the in- thing). I ended up with toyota axles, 32 bfg muds, 3" springs, and basically home-made everything...cage, bumpers, front driveshaft, transfer mounts, even my front driveshaft. I tipped it over twice (once on tank-trap at Hollister Hills, CA), and it was always fun flipping it back on its wheels and driving 80 miles back home in it with mud all over it. Anyway, I ended up selling it back in '97.
I just bought a stock '87 a week ago... and I can't believe the amount of love for these things now!!! Immediate plans are for a SPOA, rear lock-rite, shackles, 31x11.5x15 kuhmo muds on 15x10 589s, 4:16 transfer gears, front bumper, and front cage. Anyway, I'll provide some before/after shots once I get started.
