I'm curious. Has anyone used stock TJ coils in a Sidekick? If so are they very stiff and what lift gain would be expected?
I haven't measured them so I really don't know if they would actually fit in the spring buckets.

I haven't tried them in a kick, but my coil setup on my Samurai uses kick spring pockets. I've recently added tj coils, the lift difference is huge, I haven't actually messured them but your looking at about 4 -5" lift from stock kick coils. I haven't found them to be stiff at all, they needed to be modified to fit the kick pods, they are wider then the kicks...
Hope this helps any

hey mike, how much do your TJ coils compress on your rig? with the new cage in there I'm sure it weighs a bit more in the arse end to compensate the heavier spring rate compared to the 'vette coils. do you know how much more your truck weighs now with the new cage?
sorry bout all the questions and all but I'm also considering using theTJ's as well on my next project, just wanna get all the loose ends taken care of before the build up.
:D

Im using TJ coil spring all around on my 4dr kick.
6cyl coils up front and 4cyl up back.
both compress to around 12 inch with the weight of the truck.
The upper bumpstop on this pic was taken fromt the kick. This pic is with the 4cyl up front, it's about 3/4 inch higher now with the 6cyl.

Thanks, had a hunch it might work.
Any gotchas' in doing this in a stock rig? Steering issues etc.
