is it any good for my sammi.. ie. 5.12 gears, etc.. it's a standard transmission truck and only 2wd.. is it worth grabbing for 2 bones

oh and to answer your question, it's the 4wd front pig that'll work in the sammi housings not the rear unless you got a hybrid in the rear or better yet toss your sammi rear axle and throw that kick axle under there, all you gotta do after that is find a front pig from a 4wd 5spd trak~kick

The 2wd 5 speed tranny is worth keeping for sure. and the motor etc... I'd buy it for 200 bucks.
Wasn't someone here looking for a 5 speed 2wd tranny?

I think that was me looking for a auto to hook to the kick engine. Did they even ever make a 2wd auto kick??? some say yes some say no. But my advise is to see if you can get the 2wd trani with the rear end, just to have. I am putting the entire kick rear end in my sami hopefully on coils. I already have the 513's The kick rear is stronger, both axles are the same length so save on having extra axles, likely cheaper axles, more readily and likely cheaper break parts. My sami has the crappy drum on tcase parking break, so the kick rear end allows better parking break. Lots of advantages to the kick rear.

I'm not sure if he mentioned that the truck or the rear end was 200 bucks, I was under the impression the rear end was 200 bucks, if it's the whole truck I say go get it before she gets away!

$200 for just the rear end, no tranny, no rest of truck :(
is the 2wd tracker tranny better than the one in my sammi?
please let me know if I have this right:
1) take the rear end from the 2wd tracker - use it on rear of sammi
2) find a front pumpkin from a 4wd kick/tracker - gut sammi front pumpkin and replace

is the gearing the same on those two (afterall this IS a 2wd tracker) ?? I can still use existing driveshafts, right?

Dont forget, the kick rear is wider than ur sammy front by 3" overall.

How u gonna mount it? coils or leafs? the rear axel, does it come with the coils and all control arms or where they chopped?

I like the kick rear coil setups but 200 does seem a tad high unless its in mint shape with all the parts, coils and arms.

beats me I think the 2 bills is just for the axle... I'll be running yj leaves (which I just picked up on ebay for 56 US  and will pick em up next week)

the truck is complete, front end hit, not bad but I guess enough....
it's at cooksville on Mavis in Mississauga ;)
Would a Toy front axle be a good match to this one?? could I get the same gearing for both??

simple answer... no. closest ur gonna get to 513 with a toy is 529. If ur thinking of doing toy front, y not do toys all the way around? u can pick up complete sets for 2-400 at most.

I went toys and love em as well but as the old saying goes "learn how to walk before you run"
Stay stock and get a feel for the ability of a zuk and then upgrade as you feel the need to. Thats where we all start and you'll have more fun with the smaller tire with the reliabilityand simplicity of it.

Just giving you ideas. there is a whole world of wheeling on zuk axles. 35's and toys are not the minimums.
I did it this way cause i would rather be wheeling than wrenching.
