Time for a pumpkin swap , anyone have any advice on a sami/kick hybrid plz feel free to giv''R. Going to cut the rear pumpkin housing from the kick and splice it into my sami tubes so i can keep my skinnyness. With the Kick being 3" wider, is any of that from the pumpkin itself or is the length in the axles ? Hope its from the axles , so that my sami axles will fit and keep her thin. Or would it be better to just cut the tube ends off the sami axle housings and just shorten the kick tubes a bit? Any ideas?

Check trailtough.com or call Brent who does all there axle work. It was $175.00 American base price. It comes with perches welded on all brackets and you can get the lower shock tower welded on. On top of that you can get them powdered coated. $75.00 Core charge might want to look into it or call him for info. Good Luck.

Why not just stuff it in the way it is, so what that it's 3" wider.

Big one in the skidoo trails down here in NB. Lets just say flares and mirrors at 10-15 KM/H grazing by a hair and if ya dont wanna do the 40 point granny turn on all corners you make. :yike ...mainly because im too cheap to buy a chain saw lol. Second it forces me to pull apart both axle housings and get better at doing it as well as maybe learning a trick or two from someone who's kick ass at welding. And I've never changed gears in a pumpkin before so that should be cool too. But for the most part id have to say the best places ive ever been in NB are those only traveled by those who can fit...or bring their own chain saw. I would hate to have to turn back from a trail because my tires wouldn't squeeze between the trees :bawl: . Rather be wheeling but some short cuts just aren't as fun. Now you watch ..hahaha with-in a week or so i'll prob run into a snag :bang: and end up doing just the straight swap like you suggested .

The kick rear diff is centered wich will make it hard to have 2 egual angle on the rear drive-shaft.
...But...
Toy diff are centered too.
Back to  again lol

I was going to just let it ride w/ three extra inches then this vision came to me.
Tight squeeze with the front tires me and co-pilot gives the thumbs up slap fives dump the clutch and blast forward another three feet when the rear tires slam into the obstacle. I know " just remember it’s wider", "just be more careful", well frothy cool adult beverages have a strange effect on the body. Memory fades, right foot gets very heavy, logic goes out to window, and what you lack in skill and ability is quickly replaced with liquid courage.

You think cuz your axle's a few inches wider it's gonna stop you dead ??? C'mon. It's only a few inches. And leave your chainsaws at camp.

Im so gettin bashed  wicked LMAO!!! It's all good till KAC tell's someone about the tree's I ran into hahahaa.Word to the wise, when wheelin a slender trail dont look down to find the smoke you droped, just drive lol. OK. Just cause im sweatin the small stuff :flthrow: , right now im stock(SOA) with 7'' rims and 10.5 wide tires and the mirrors bend but the flares come off periodicaly lol. But now im going to an 8'' rim with 13.5 wide tire and wider yj leafs. Still dont know if its gonna be a big thing to inboard the new leafs and if so wheel spacers might have to play a part...im thinkin inches might just matter. Think the 8 rims are backspaced the same as the 7's , and it's not like id be picking up rear disk brakes if i kept them whole. 3 inches bahaha bhahaa , i dont need three extra inches....it's not the size it's how you drive your ride that counts.

It may not stop me dead in my tracks but it might cause me to spill a frothy cool one. Metal bends and beats back out but supplies are limited :D .
