This website contains video and documets stating the dispute between the National Highway and Traffic Saftey Commission and Suzuki vs. The Consumers Union regarding thier findings of the "high rollover rate" and "totally unsafe" claims they put against the Suzuki Samurai in 1988. thier tests were modifyed just to provide the CU with more publicity and this page shows evidence of that. I found this a "must read" for every Samurai owner out there.

It's a funny thing that I was flipping through some old popular machanics and science magazines, and came across a road test of a samurai, heep wrangler, mitsubishi montero sp, and isuzu tropper ll LS. (January '88 popular science)
They tested acceleration, braking, handling, and maneuverability. Putting acceleration aside, the samurai outperformed them all!!
