Who is bringing their dog or dogs to suzican?
Will everything be safe if we leave anything back at the campsite? IE tools, trailer/dollies, other Misc stuff?
:bang:
My buddy who's coming with me has a dog, and Doesn't know if it'll be safe in the vehicle or leaving him at camp...
Any ideas?

We're bringing Angus, but he goes on the trails with us.
Where we camped last year there wasn't much shade, I wouldn't take a dog if it had to stay tied up at camp. I hung out with Depot's dog one day, but took him down to the water for a dip several times.

Mudlite I'm sure will be bringing Riley. I've left my dog with my parents in Warkworth for the week.

Feel free to bring your dogs. Just ask that you keep them in your truck or on a leash when trucks are moving. We also want to make sure people arn't Hot dogging it around the camp sites. One dead dog will really spoil my weekend.

yes, i'll be bringing my dog - aka my co-pilot :upy:
I'm really sorta hoping that someone stays at base camp during the day since Im not too keen on bringing him with me on the trails.. he actually did get run over last may 24 by a 33 inch swamper... clean over... lucky dick survived with no major injuries but the vet bill still hurt me more than the 2 times I pooched my puter in my 1.6!
If need be, I'll stick my dog in the back of my zook since I do have a floor in her this year! lol
For those of u that havnt met him... be forewarned... he is HUGE!, he is very friendly but when he says hellow he will grab your arm/wrist - he wont bite down but will leave some slober.. he does it once and thats it... dunno why and never could break him of that habit but as long as no one freaks on him.. hes a pussy cat in sheappards clothing :)
heres a pic fyi....

Thanks guys. My dog will be left at home with the wife, but Brian (my Co-pilot) doesn't have that luxury, so he may have to bring his pooches. One's a huge suck (Rottweiller/Cane Corso/ Bull Mastiff Cross, at approx 10 months old and 115 lbs), and the other's a playful lab that loves attention.
If he can leave them back he will.
My boxer Ottis will be keeping my wife company for the weekend.
As far as security goes, How does everyone feel about leaving there stuff at the campsite during the day? Is it safe? Will someone be staying behind?

Everything should be safe. Pack it away if you can, leave your site clean, but don't leave valuables . No one should bother us. The trailer park ( 500 m) away if full of ex-OPP :-)
We havn't had a problem yet.

That water (around the damn area) is now fenced off due to a death in the area last year. The water over by the trailer park (500 meters or so) is still available for a refreshing dip though.

are there any rapids there? near the dam? Are they runable in a kayak, or is it just a big drop? Thought I'd ask in case I need to spend a few hours cooling down...

It is a hydro dam, so no rapids. Sorry.

What time do we have to be there by to finalize registration? Hope I can make it in time.

Ready, well, as ready as I can be I guess. Finalizing my shopping tonight, OVO meeting tomorrow night, then on the road Friday morning. I plan on being in Calabogie around noon Friday, not sure when the Shaggin Wagon will be arriving.

Depends how my morning goes.
Load the bus, pick up the shitters, and pick up the RTI ramp.
