before i get my truck Line-x'd i need to weld the plates and roll cage is, sooooo
all i have now is the 1.75inch die.
Is that too large a diamter tube for a zook cage? So i order up the 1.5 die and do it that size?
I am going with DOM tube, what thickness should i get? I saw on davesport.com the tube used is 1.5" x .120" DOM tube.
The one thing i don;t want to loose is the defrost vents on the side of the dash. is there anyway around that?

You could try something like this.

Cage #1 (http://www.izook.com/tech/samurai/body/sportcage/images/dashfitment__1.jpg)

:yike :yike

I'd be afraid of that design... do a endo and that bar is likely to crush down onto ur legs. Looks pretty though

hmmm ya i dunno if i like that

is there room to go behind the vents on the dash?
Or punch a hole in the back of the dash and go behind?

And should i do with 1.5 or 1.75 tube?

dunno what the OD on tube is.... for sched 40, 1.25 ID pipe has an OD of 1 7/8.- the same as the stock zuk roll bar.

I use 1" pipe with an od of 1 3/8's approx.

so i would guess 1.5 DOM with wall thickness .120 like the Davesport cage would be fine?
And maybe i'll make the main hoop (if i don;t use the factory one) out of 1.75
