Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a cross reference chart for parts for a 1989 Sidekick? I know many parts from many other vehicles will cross over,but since this is our first zuk,we're not sure what will cross.
Also,I'm wondering if we have a bad EGR valve? Fuel economy SUX! The sidekick starts good (acts a bit cold-collared) and once it's warmed up,it will idle up and then idle down (surges).It does smoke (bluish-white),some...mostly on start up.....smokes a little on road.On-road,while driving,it acts as if it wants to cut out.Can 'feather' the pedal,just a little,and it will do fine,and then do it,again.Kinda have to coax as I drive.Did I mention Fuel economy Sux? Big time!
It has newly rebuilt head,new pcv valve,new fuel filter,new plugs and wires.
It is an 8 valve 1.6 sohc.Despite the remaining problems,it does run out good while on the trail or if I really 'get on it'.
Help? Anyone?
