Got in from minden at 4am so just a quick post for ya,
Local beavers kindly provided a damn for Depot's climbing pleasure (pic's of that coming later) and some deep water to play in.Here are a couple pic's ,excuse the poor quality as they are clips from the video. will post more pic's as soon as I have them.
I had to run the trail in 2WD as I blew a CV but had a blast doing it, I also packed my rad with mud and had some heat issuse but nothing to serious. Depot blew a birf , Fullloads dad lost his fan clutch and was over heating but was back up and running with help of many zip ties(pic coming), seized his alternator and blew his clutch so he was towed out of the trail by Depot. Fullload was having some nasty vibrations on the way out of the trail today and oh yeah he has a tail light out...no wait he has no rear bumper as he ripped it clean off trying to pull a **** outta the bog .....as for the story of the ****, I'll let someone else fill you in on that one:yike
I'm exhausted and am now going to stagger off to my warm soft bed.
l8r,
Lucy

Well here's the pics that you wanted, but before i show you i gotta give you a carnage report.
Zookvet: Clutch finally died and a siezed alternator (we unsiezed muddmachine style)
Lucy: Broken front CV shaft. ( we already ribbed her on the IFS garbage so don't bother saying anything else)
Depot: First front inner Axle ever and blown winch motor ( not too bad for depot  )
Screech: He got off lucky.
Fullload: I ripped my rear bumper trying to strap out a stuck ****.( that 16 valve just kiks ass!!! Thanks again for the help with that depot) My winch gave up finally. broken strap or two? High lift jack.
Banger (the **** owner) Blown alternator, smoked winch(cheap princess auto crap) blown starter, bent tie rod and depot ripped a hole in his frame from all the tugging that depot and i did.
The next day we traveled the 16 or so kms to recover him with two high lifts all the chain that we could find and borrow from our trailers ( about 100 feet) and all the bear traps that we had.
It took three hours one click at a time but he came out. We used two high lifts in the chain links and jacked him out. The bear traps were used to take up the slack in the chain after re-setting it when we ran out of jack height ( the pics will say it all.)
This is depot style tree hugging

This is me on my third attempt. It was not different than the first and second. The only difference this time is that this was down the middle and not the sides.
The sides were just as bad!!!!

This was the extraction procedure late sunday afternoon. Notice the two jacks in the chain. it took about three hours with two jacks. How long would it have taken with on one!!!!

Depot and i are trying to make it to the greens run with you guys. Right now depots inner axle is fixed and Zookvets ( dad) clutch will be done in the next day or two with power steering ( it killed my arms with power steering let alone without) and maybe rear Disc if we have time.
I have to re-do some front suspension work and weld my rear bumper back on.
Other than that we should be good to go by next weekend!!!!!!!!

Just a silly question for us web wheelers, yur extraction technique albeit inventive perplexes me. I see an expensive yet operational winch on both Depots and FullLoads truck, was just wondering why this wasnt used. I know theres a story behind this???

Looks are deceiving sarg... my winch burned out earlier that day getting myself deeper into that bog. Fullloads winch fizzled and was too weak to even pull a twig. we've both rebuilt our winches since then.
But if u read fullloads damage report on page 1 of this thread u woulda caught that bit

That trip was the whole reason why i spent $350.00 and depot spend $400.00 on new winch motors.
I never want to be in that situation again. It was dark and cold and very hard on our trucks.

Dont know anything bout the part you want, But I'm not the guy to ask. There are MANY very skilled guys on here that will help you with that. Maybe post it up in the wanted ad.
I could'nt get your pic to work, might be my puter.
But sounds like a mean machine. I'll hook up with yeah in da spring, stay tuned to this site. You'll find lots of great info, and network with some good guys too. I'd be screw'd without the help I've gotten from guys on here. I'm a newbie. But drive like an animal. this is what gets me into trouble most of the time. It's those moments of, bad choices in life that gets me into trouble. and a bad temper does'nt help either:D
