Hi Y'all
Was wondering what kind(s) of mods I would be looking at to run 31s on my 89 kick? A guy I know, who is a mechanic, found a set of mudders (31s) and said they would work on the kick with no probs.I can get 'em dirt cheap! But,I am pure stock.....no lift of any kind. What will I have to do to run these?
Can things just be hammered a bit or am I gonna have to lift and extend?

u could hammer the thing to death and do a little triming and they will fit ...thats what i did first with mine but almost screwed my side walls with the lip of the rear quarter pannel......a 2in body lift some minor hammering and a little front fender trimming should do it .....o ya a set of 7 or 8 in rims will make it look better..... i like the 8in ..... just my .02
good luck

I have 31s on mine and the 3/4" spring spacer up front, one set of hockey pucks under the body, and trim/hammer was enough to get the space I needed

Fitting 31's on a sidekick should be very little work. the biggest thing is DO NOT change your rims if you want to save yourself some work. I had 31's with 8inch rims and they rubbed like crazy but stock rims are fine with 31s and a little minor shaving!!

At full articulation your gonna rub on 8 inch rims or stockers. Get a 3 inch body lift and some 2" coil spacers.

The only place I rubbed with stock rims was in the wheel wells while at full turn, had nothing to do with articulation. But who wants to drive a stock truck anymore anyways? I'm thinkin about beefin up my towing truck too! haha

you may wanna consider swapping out your 4.62's for a pair of 5.13's from a 5spd, should set your speedo close to stock and make you motor work less trying to turn them bigger tires
