I am getting one of these puppies for sure in the next week or so... BUT I don't wanna have to order it from the USA. I know exactly what happens when I order from the states... I pay duties, tax, and a bunch of other junk that really adds up in a hurry.
Does anyone know where I could find one here in Canada??
I checked with a company called Pacesetter and it seems that they discontinued this header. There are two left to my knowledge : 1. Calmini, and 2. Doug Thorley. are there anymore out there? I have checked them both and am leaning towards Calmini.
Any input on this ?

Oh boy!! look at all them goodies!!! ooops, i am slobering on my keyboard. camshaft 279.99... I will wait to save a bit extra and swap out the cam as well.
Cam + a header...should make the 31's a bit lighter for sure. A good 10-12 HP increase. I think I will keep my fuel injection though. Those 40mm carbs would drain my wallet too much anyways.
Thanks.

There are NO duties on any product (with the exception of cold rolled steel and soft wood lumber over 3 tons) that was wholly made in Canada, USA and Mexico since 2001.
If you are being charged duties you are being ripped off.
Also do not import with UPS, they suck big hairy donkey balls. Find your own broker and use them, its way cheaper.

If you've found someone to clear stuff for you without charging duty your lucky. The only importers that are supposed to be exempt from duty on products produced in the states are businesses with an importers GST number and the proper nafta certificates.
I do however agree wholly that UPS sucks large, I hate dealing with them, nothing but headaches.

No entirely true, what you need to do is find a good freight forwarder and hide behind their importer number. As for the Nafta form just create it yourself..I do, there are blanks on the Fedex.com website.
Get on the phone and call around..you will be suprised

Thanks for the advice, but with my business I don't have to worry about it, I've got it covered on the up and up as I am an importer

I'm using the Pacesetter samurai header. a bit of work to fit it, but the results are worth it. that and a full 2" w/ hiflo cat really help turn the 31's. Not exactly a tire burner, but if you wind it out (and it really does, now!) it gets out of its own way. I bought it because it was the cheapest option, at less than $175 locally. Much longer tubes than the sidekick headers, which is good for that elusive low end torque, tho it requires replacement of the cat and the rest of the exhaust. If you're doing that anyway, and you should, its no big deal. A little grinding on the bellhousing boss, and a little ovaling of one tube (#3?) and it fits in quite nicely. I also created a new hanger from the trans to header to replace the OEM cat hanger. Borla sounds pretty good

OK, so that one does fit too. I think I may go that route instead. My little truck has been off the road and trails for about 2 weeks now due to a broken frame crossmember. Right where the rear suspension pivots, I snapped that crossmember. Talk about a pain in the arse to weld up...that stuff is about as thick as a pop can. Nonetheless I will be rolling tommorrow afternoon (I hope).
Then if it holds up, I will go ahead with my other plans.... But this sidekick of mine don't seem to solid.... I don't know how the guys with V6 swaps keep their frames in one piece? Weak!

if ur talking about the crossmemebr that the rear shocks mount up to.. yeah, I've snapped mine clean off last year not once but twice..
turns out a piece of 3 inch c channel fits over whats left of that crossmember real nice (after u remove the shock studs if u still have em). then u got tons of meat to weld between the c-channel and the frame and now hav a strong surface to mount ur shocks too. just be carefull around that gas tank and fuel lines when ur welding it up. :yike :yike

Nope, it's not that crossmember. It is the crossmember that holds the swingarm to keep the rear axel from swaying side to side. It also keeps the axel from twisting so that proper aligment is maintained for the driveshaft. Pretty hard part tp explain, I can't find a single pic of it anywhere.
It broke in not one, not two, but three places.
Grrrr....
Looks like I won't get it done today after all....my helper didn't show..

I know the cross member your talking about , best way to discribe it is the cross member that the wishbone conects to.
So how did you break it ,I 've never had a problem with mine and I havn't heard anyone complain about it as a weak spot, weird. was it badly rusted?

Actually it was not rusted too badly. I am not sure why it broke but I do know that it was not one sudden hit. It snapped in the middle, then it let go off the sides. I guess just wear and tear caught up to it. The area where it began craking had surface rust on it, so I guess it all started from a small crack and kept stressing till finally it let go. I am gonna keep a real close eye on it and see how it holds up.
I did manage to weld it up and it's solid now.The way I hooked it up it should be stronger than stock.

Sorry to bring this back to life...
BUT, does the Pacesetter have the threaded boss for the o2 Sensor ??
I looked at their site, cause I was planning on buying it online, and it states : "No smog or engine management hook-ups "
So does it have one or not... If not what do I do with the o2 Sensor?? Add a resistor in it's place???
Thanks.

Why quiet? The raptor sounded good and is pretty low pro so it wont get caught up. I got a topaz muffler on mine and it sounds pretty cool.

Get something one size up from the muffler you have now, dont buy a stocker. I had a 4-runner muffler on my shorty and it was the stuff.
