I've already posted on this site, but this time I'm officially saying hi to all, and posting a picture of my truck.

I figured I'd give you a lil background info on myself and my truck, since I'm bored.

Here's a few stock pictures... I got a good 5 months of stock driving time and stock offroading to really learn how this thing works and do what I can with stock. I was very impressed with how this held up to my cousin's lifted **** :) Not close, but stock for modified, I think I was doing good! Here's my stock TEAL Sidekick on 235/75/15, which I thought were HUGE when I got them after 2 months of stock sized tires...

And here's after a weekend of making a body lift. Complete cost, 70$ of metal, 40$ for used 31x10.5x15 tires WITH a set of stock rims and 50$ to install and balance these tires. It was one hell of a weekend, since I had to cut those metal pieces by HAND. I was aiming for budget build, and 30$ of cuts for my blocks was not budget to me, hehe. Then I remember that my cutoff saw is broken(engine blown), so I cut it all by hand/sawsall!

So, here's the pictures after the build! I learnt to weld this weekend(dad showed me, I finally took the time to learn) and made my own shifter extensions. Overall, its a really easy job to lift a sidekick if you don't have to cut metal for 4hrs.

I'm definately not rushing, that's why I gave myself 5 months. This is my budget fun/winter beater ;)

I have a Sunfire that gets most of my attention/money, although I'm starting to love the Zuki and Sunfire equally now, they both rock!!!

I'm the kind of guy that likes to build it slow, and right. So I'mma take my time to build this truck.

Thanks for the comments.

Oh and my profile has been updated. I'm in Gatineau :D

It was rubbing at first, but it was just the inner fender plastic that had flipped up and was rattling when I turned. Chopped that off and hasn't rubbed since even when flexed/turning, so its very close, but seems ok!!! if it becomes a problem I'll give it the good ol' hammer job :D

this is my new favorite smilie, so I have to use it...

Pro's and cons of raising the gas tank...? I just took all that time to extend the rubber neck(was a B*tch) LMAO. Is it so I don't pierce/smash it? That could make sense. Is there a how to posted somewhere.

Oh, anyone know if a 4dr tank is the same but just deeper? Caus it would be good to be able to carry more gas in the wood without having to bring Jerry cans :D

Thanks for the info/comments :) Its fun!

It's not possible/easy to put a 4dr tank in a 2dr, see THIS (http://www.k9rdj.co.uk/) site where he tried it, trust me, the article is buried in there somewhere.

Here's Dave's (SuperZuki) story on trying to fit a 4 dr tank and doing a 3" lift on his 2 door tank (when he realized his 4 door wouldn't go).
http://www.k9rdj.co.uk/tanklift.htm

Edit: Crap, his site redirects to the main page. So, click on "Specifications" on the left, then click on "3" Petrol Tank Lift" and you can read all about it.

That's not my page, that's Dave in the UK. The pics I posted are from my 'Kick when I did it's tank lift last year, following Dave's instructions. I thought there was a How-To on izook but I can't locate it.
