I am getting ready to do a 3 inch body lift on my 91 kick and was wondering if there will be any problems with the steering shaft? I am hoping it will be long enough or will i have to try to extend it some how? Any info would be helpfull, Thanks.

Ask Nemesis_Y2K... he just did a 4" on his 91 kick.

U can also ask Lucy, I extended her steering shaft for her 4" body lift.

I didn't even extend mine. I just loosened the 4 bolts all the way up and once done it had only taken about 1/2 inch, tightened em up equally as much as I could and had no issues yet and I've been going for a good month including a few offroad trips :)
You need to extend your shifters and the big gas hose for a 4" body lift, that's all. The rest works, unclip a few wires here and there as you see fit is all I had to do :)
GL.
Mine's a 92, doubt there's a different tho.

When I put 3" and then later 4" of body in my old 90 kick the steering column stretched, but in Lucy (she's a 93) the column needed to be lengthened. So I know that the column in the 90 kick's are different from the 93's but I'm not sure what year suzuki changed them. I'll look into which column your 91 has,if it's the same as the 90 you should be good. I'll let you know as soon as I find something out.

It will most likely stretch as mine did! And I'm 92. Give it a whirl and post pics after! :)

According to my instructions from Calmini, the different types of shafts do not depend on year, but on where it was manufactured. Mine was like your's Lucy, had to build a 2 and something inch extension as per their instructions.
You can tell whether you have a slide type shaft or non slide by looking at it. If it's a non slide it is quite obvious that there is no shaft in shaft type of connection, if it is a slide shaft you can see where the 2 pieces slide over each other. Also, I believe the non slide shaft has a "ribbed" section that they use as a crumple zone if you're in a front ender so the steering wheel doesn't whack you in the chest/face.

That would make sence.....as my 90 was built in Japan and Lucy at Cami in ingersoll....But I just stripped a 90 tracker that was built at Cami and it had the same shaft as my 90 from Japan..... from my experience Calmini...well lets just say they have not proven themselves to be the most reliable source of information in the past, just my 2 cents

Regardless, he can tell whether he needs to lengthen with a spacer or just slide the shaft just by looking at it.
I know Calmini can be less then reliable, it took 8 weeks just for them to ship my lift.

Very true , if it's ribbed no go, if it has 2 shafts sliding over one an other then he's all good.
P.S. I hear ya, it took almost 3 months to get a set of t-case gears outta them last spring.
