Just wondering if anyone saw this sj410k slide thru the pages of ebay last week?, he had it listed in the title as sj410k, so if you typed in sj410 or samurai it didn't show up. Probably a major reason why it didn't sell, did go up to 3 grand american though, but his reserve was higher.http://barbprosserwinder.com/4x4offroad/sj410k2.jpg
if i don't find one of these someday, i'm going to be forced to do something crazy, or at least ugly. SJ416K?http://barbprosserwinder.com/4x4offroad/sj416.jpg

What would you seriously pay for one?

Never mind, i'm broke, i would consider trading my sidekick for one though, minus the 36" irocs. dual t-cases, toy axles, 3 foot skyjacker shocks, power steer, pioneer CD.

Yep....I call him Iggy. It needs a carb but other than that its good to go.

Its the play toy to boot around my dads property with. My crawler is up there as well I call him George,he is a Toyo pick up with dual cases, locked front and rear with most of the body "clearanced" for wheel travel...

i'm running out of room to post pics but have you ever seen those ugly 2wd suzuki flatbed cargo trucks?, the flatbed looks identical to the sj410k, and is still made today. the bed may be bigger though, it's hard to tell. fuk knows where you'de find one though.

hey mudslug, how could you own the most beautiful truck ever made and not drive it every day? if i had one it would have a 4 link with front samurai solid axel with toyota coils and 5.12 tracker diff, 1.6 swap, samurai 5 speed tranny, hybrid rear axel - 5.12,(for weight & stability), with wrangler leafs moving rear wheel back a few inches and beautiful body restore with custom bumpers. you owe it to us poor bastards who don't own one to make it a gem.

ugly 2wd suzuki flatbed cargo trucks?

Are you talking bout the LJ40's, 51's n 60's???

just as an fyi they came in 2 stroke too and are still around with 2000 plus model years in the US

btw beauty is in the ye of the beholder.

Ill try and get specs on the bed for size though, think yer in the right track fer the bed.

yep, that's the one, the bed looks identical. i didn't know they were sold outside of japan. i bet a brand new flatbed would cost a bit, nice to have the option tho. they are a bit ugly in this beholder's eye, but i think my daily driver, white 4 door tracker is even worse.

Those are Suzuki Carrys or Carry All's depending on where you are.

They were offered in the US to a few Suzuki dealers but never went anywhere. They have a lower geared tranny then the SJ's and the ones in the US had the 1.0L

The beds are the exact same bed that is on all of the SJ's and SAmmy P/U...probably the same as the LJ bed as well...Suzuki didn't have a bunch of dough back then and they mixed and matched a bunch of parts...as we all know.

I would totally love an LJ or a Carry...

Suzuki has launched a four-wheel-drive tray-truck bodied version of its versatile Carry light commercial model.

Based on the Suzuki Carry Van renowned for its thrifty operation, the new Carry Truck features constant all-wheel-drive, a flat loading deck devoid of wheel intrusions, a low deck height drop-side tray which is accessible from all sides and a 500kg load carrying capacity.

"Since its reintroduction to Australia last year, the Carry has been a great success within specialised sectors of the light commercial market such as local councils, golf clubs, lawn mower contractors, curators and government departments," Suzuki Australia’s Marketing Manager, Kim Stonehouse says.

"Adding a tray and all-wheel-drive will simply add to its appeal for buyers and we expect a lot of interest from the rural markets for farming, as well as the mining and construction industries.

The Suzuki Carry Truck features a constant all-wheel-drive system, a manual five-speed transmission and an economical 1.3 litre 16-valve multi-point-fuel injected four cylinder engine.

Suspension is coil spring with MacPherson struts up front, while a rigid axle with leaf springs takes care of the rear. Steering is rack and pinion and brakes are disc/drum.

The Carry Truck cabin offers ample storage areas, an AM/FM stereo cassette player, three-position ELR seatbelts and side-intrusion bars. In addition, air-conditioning, CD player, alloy wheels and trailer hitch are all optional.

The Suzuki Carry Truck is priced from $15,990 plus on road costs. A three year / 100,000 km warranty is standard.

ya that would be sweet

Hey Van, You sound like a salemen. Gee that dont sound to good, :dsm: sorry came out, the wrong way. lol they look like capable little trucks. A cab over design, hmmm, Bet it turns on a dime. Good for the market in down town China. But not my cup of tea. I'm not a big fan of looks for Zooks in genral. It's the tuff trail rating that I like bout Zooks. If I was looking at a truck just based on looks, I lean too Heeps & Dodge's.
For me Zook are tuff,& cheap. That's what I like bout Zooks. :hubba:

We saw some of the Suzuki Carry-alls a few years ago in Hamilton.
There was two of them, They were identified as a "Metro" and were loaded on a trailer outside one of the big downtown hotels. We stopped and took photos of them (of course !) We never figured out where they were going, but thought they were probably destined for some big industrial complex or maybe an airport or something...
There are pics of them at suzitrails.ca (http://suzitrails.ca) in this album -
