Im not sure Uncle Don was going to supply the rod ends for the arm that he raffled. I'll have to ask him that. Anyhow, Uncle don is NOT online but I keep in touch so he can be reached thru me.

The message was to get ahold of Uncle Don to find out what Tie rod ends to use. The kit only comes with drag link and bracket.

Part numbers for tie rod ends are as follows:
Right hand thread, pitman arm side, stock kick joint Spicer-4011518
Left hand tie rod end, steering arm side Spicer-4011515
For anyone using the 2 arm setup (butterfly arm) These are a left hand as above and a matching right hand, Spicer-4011515.LH

Yes on the pitman arm side but not the Kingpin arm. It is a left hand thread on that side.

The kingpin arm has a tapered hole in it. Samurai is 12mm and spicer rod end is 12.5mm. So basically you have to buy that spicer rod end. You cannot buy a suzuki left hand rod end so thats why it was made bigger. It comes with a pre-tapped drag link, and not just the kingpin arm if thats why you are going to make your own.
I hope this answers your question.

Do you know the application for the left hand tierod end? It'll be easier to get one that way. I know that the drag link is included but it my be too long for my 85. Thanks.:)

Hmmmm i do not think that uncle don was planning on the shorter axle family. If you can give me a quick measurement on how long it needs to be i can tell you if you can safely cut it. But it will probally be easier to get another cut and tapped to the proper length and send yours back as a core? The application was for some sort of nissan. Do not know what vehilcle or year.
Sorry. I have not seen don since calabogie and do not know when i will see him next either

Any other questions let us know. So what do you intend to do with the drag link? Weld in the tapered hole and get it re-reamed to a 12mm?

I got thinking, I'll probably just cut the right hand thread side and drill and tap it. If I change housings I'll build another drag link. That's the fastest because I want to drive this thing soon. Would you be able to find out if the left hand tie rod fits a 2wd or 4wd nissian truck. The parts places around here think I got three heads when I give them the spicer numbers. Thanks again.
