Hi all

Are Hortons Donuts as good as I'm told

I've just bought a SJ413 truck,it only took a year or so to find one,I did a deal on a 410 about 6 months ago but the @!#$ sold it to someone before I picked it up :(

Here in New Zealand we didn't get many trucks or LWB,a couple of weeks ago I got my Truck,Ok now the fun begins,I have a 413 SWB which has a gear down kit, rear locker and 31's that will go onto the truck.

OK the suspension and steering need work,I'm thinking of a spring over with high steer, maybe drop shackles.

What do I need to know, whats the tricks you :Canada: get up to.

The truck is going to be road legal and certified etc.

Cheers Simon

spring over is very hard on stock springs, may want to upgrade, anti-wrap bar really helps against axel wrap with spring over. cross over steering is a great idea, you'll need longer shocks and brake lines. when you add the pads to the top of housing, rotate your diff upward a couple of degrees since your t-case will be higher. you should also have spacers in the driveshafts to compensate for longer distance between axel and t-case. go with quality drop links if your driving on the road, revolvers are great.

there's lots of write ups with pics of sammy spring over online, pics always help. P.S. - give me your home address and i'll send you a donut ;)

What do :Canada: do for cheap hi steer/cross over

The truck runs the petrol(gas)tank up in front of the diff so using a single traction bar woud be hard,so any suggestions on other options

Sorry Banger but coffee tastes like use motor oil to me but DONUTS

you can run the trac bar on the side, if it's good it won't matter if it's centered, mines not centered. Your tank is in front of the diff?, is your rig a quarter ton pick-up style?

Yes it is a pick up style :)
Off centered
Is your trac bar a long triangle with 2 attachment points on the diff and a shackle on the front
I would have thought an off set trac bar make for odd behaviour from the back axle,or does a shackle at the front take care of this
