Is it possible to take 4 carbs from a 1000cc motorcycle and use them with the 1.0l? I can certainly fab linkage.

Anything's possible. Can you fab an intake manifold? An engine is an engine, all they need is air and fuel in the right ratio. I assume your lookin at Mikuni side drafts? She'll definately be more responsive.

Be careful with the mixtures, a bike runs leaner than you think and those old pistons are not made to be heated up like that. Its best to go rich and work backwards.

The intake manifold would be easy if you can weld pretty, just watch for warpage.

Does this create anymore HorsePower? Where I go camping the speed limit is 65 for a good distance and I usually go about 70-75.

Won't hurt it, probably way more responsive. The set up of the carbs is key, I would pay someone to balance them for you and show you how to tune them properly.

Thanks for all the info. My motorcycle mechanic is going to teach me how to tune them and we will make it run real rich to start.

I can fab an intake man eaisily. just dont know if I would go alum, steel or rubber/steel like bikes.

If I can find some carbs that dont silde into rubber intakes that have a flange and bolt holes I can go alum easy.

I does take alot of time and prep to make an intake though 16 little rectangles 2 thicker slabs, measure 3 times cut once, and lots of welding. If I do it ok no grinding. but yeah right.

the 1L is no powerhouse no matter what you do to it, but it's the engine that is just too dumb to die. honestly, just save your pennies on carbs, and get a bigger engine.. or enjoy the milage, and durability of a 1L

Finally got the 410 on the road and it runs great but has a tapping sound in the engine. I cant tell if it is bottom end or top end. I adjusted the valve backlash and I cant get the noise to go away, but I can drive it up to 70 mph no probs.
