Anyone seen this hitch before? I think it was developed in OZ land and now a U.S. company is distributing them. I'd like one for the off road trailer but Im not paying $285 U.S. for it. I was thinkin of makin one similiar but with just big ass shock bushings.

why not just go pintle, with a pivoting eye or hitch.

it does look neat... definatly light duty.... prolly meant for small trailers to elimante vibrations and hitch slop. personally, i vote for pintow style.. with proper trailer brakes there is no slop and oodles of flex and strength.. save ur beans.

OK Guys, Im talkin a total weight of way less than 1000 lbs, pintles would be damn noisy on the trail. Pintles arent cheap either.

Light duty? Naw, that's 1/2" plate, pretty beefy in my book.
Yes they are from OZ, made to be flexy, quiet and have zero slop. With the large amount of verticle slop in a pintle it will load up and down on the back of your rig when your trailer hits that sweet spot cresting a hill, then bang.

Yeah, they got some cool shiat down under. I really like thier line winches, the hand operated ones without a spool. You can get em up to 10 or 12,000 pound. Works the same way you would use a high lift as a winch, just without have to stop and reset every 50". It just climbs along a continuous length of wire rope.
