Well I guess this my inrto, I have begun the purchase of my first Samurai, an 87 LWB. It was set up for rock crawling, so it is well armoured, I however will be doing mostly mud. It has 31" tire and a SOA, I will be adding 34"x10.5x15, 3" lift springs and 513 gears. I have a line on some Toyota axles $300 for the pair and will be installing them over the winter. I welcome any input from you folks with experience on these, anyone with plans for a snorkle, let me know as I will need on for Mosquito trail at GM in St. Catharines. I will post once she is in my hands and maybe we can do a meet and greet. I noticed from some of the prvious posts that my little Cherokee is not welcome at ZOOK gatherings but I would like to wheel with a couple of you guys. Their are some Zook only type trails at GM if you guys are interested, I can get some of the boys from down here and we can go for a spin.

Good Lord, man! Are you asking permission? These guys'll eat you alive! :ev:
Like sidekick_nut said, doesn't matter what you wheel with on the trails, it's all good. I grew up with ****s, and had a Cherokee too. Thank god I didn't still have it when I married into Zooks or my old man would catch hell for having it in the driveway.

I don't care what people wheel, I run with just about everything, I just thought I would get any ribbing and B/S out of the way now and see what you guys are really like.

Hey Super
You would be correct, it is in by gate twelve. The trail is getting brutal. most trucks with less than 44" are having trouble now. Hell I've talked to guys that have had trucks with 44's stuck back there.
How's things in Cobourg, I lived up there for about a year.
Never did any mud up there, mostly Hot Rods.

Sorry, but I doubt you'll "get the ribbing out of the way" around here. Don't worry though , when we rib ya it means we like you.
Welcome to our little group:)

I figured as much, I can take a good jab as well as the next guy, I am the type of person that will tell you if you are pissing me off and I expect the same from others. I don't shoot my mouth off often but I will stir the pot if need be.:bl:

Hey... what's your name? Maybe I know you... I lived there a long time... How long ago were you there?
Did you know a lot of people there?

My name is Robert Bateman, my sister Beth did her last year of high school there. It was 1992-93 if I am not mistaken. I used to hang around with Mike Mc Craken and Adam Murray and a few others from Port Hope. Is Garnett still running the 68 Camaro around town? You would probably remember Mike from his little red S-10 with the 350 in it. There was a kid wtih a 78 Camaro, I believe it was a 383 strocker, if I remember he was the police chiefs son.
I remember the first night I rolled into town I came to the corner with the Becker's an Mr. Sub, there were a bunch of guys in the lot there and they told me to do a burn out. Well stupid me, I let it rip looked up and on my right is the F'n police station. The Sarg. comes out to have a chat and the kid in the Camaro spoke to him for like two seconds and he took off. Man I thought I was dead. It was a lt of fun up there though.
I was pissed when I heard they killed Coperfields though, we had alot of fun and alot of fights in there man. Talk about memories, nice to talk to you man.

You frequent ****kings, dont you ? And is 4x4god your buddy ?

That is me! I have only been on **** KINGS a short time, but I have found most of them to be an ok bunch. I have done two trail rides with these guys and really enjoyed myself. They are the type you can take the wife and kids with like this week-end and not have to worry about any one. I doubt that I would do that with most of the Zook guys I've met.
As for 4X4God, yes I know him. I have known him a couple of weeks, and other than the fact that he's a hard ass and takes some getting used to he is not a bad guy. I don't know any of you yet but I will say this. I don't blame anyone for banning him the way he started out here, but you should give him a chance to prove himself. The guy knows alot about Samurai's and he can wheel with the best of them.
Now if you feel the need to ban me do to association, go nuts. I will not hide the fact that I like the guy. I will say this though, he is not the guy he portrays if you give him a chance.:D

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame you guys for the ban, rules are in place for a reason and he broke them. As for the axles, they will be the best $300 I have spent from what I hear and NO F'n way that am I giving up their location. If you want some let me know and I'll see what's out there. The joy's of working for a wrecking yard.:boot:
