I have been trying to figure out all the attachements to a Hitachi Carb for the 88.5 Sami I bought recently, but have am going crazy!! :bang: I have most installed, but it came apart and thus I am missing some cables and so on.. :yike :yike
I am looking to see if anyone is running a Hitachi on their Sami.. What I want is someone to take some digital pictures of all angles if possible.. :D then I can get a better idea of what I am missing, and which hose attachs where..
Let me know if you can help me out  :bo:  :bo:  :bo:

your best bet is to pick up a shop manual...you should also have the vacuum diagram on a sticker under the hood the carbs are one big pain in the ass!!!....find a pony carb or a weber....much simpler:beer:

I have a Pony Carb to be installed at some point, but I want to use the Hitachi to try to pass the emissions first.
I am not sure what you mean by "Feed Back" carb. It is the stock ones that came on 88.5 and 89 models.. made by Hitachi. I would appreciate pics still.. If you can send it to my home email account tfitzg1073@rogers.com
Thanks

I think I have most of it together now, I need to confirm where the second coolant pipe out of the back of the carb runs to, but other than that I think I am doing good.. I wouldn't mind a couple pics if you can get them to confirm what I have done is right (the dirfferent angles), but if it is a big deal no worries..
I now need to fdouble check a wiring issue.. likely a Fuseable link, or main wire to fusebox. :bang:
Thanks

Here's the 2 hoses. 1 goes to the back of the intake manifold and the other to the water manifold under the intake manifold.
Water manifold = that tube under the intake that joins the heater hoses as well

Another one, arrow pointed to connections except for the end that goes to the water tube

Not a good shot but you can see how it goes right under the intake.
