Is there a fire ban in Calabogie right now? Would be good to know.

Anyone??? Sheesh, I know there's one here where I live so I figured you guys who live in that area would know if there's a ban or not.

rain has been pretty good around here lately, no firebans that I know off.. although have not been out there in a couple weeks.. so things may have changed.

Check with the local authorities. Fire bans carry hefty fines if you don't follow them. I believe in the order of $500 plus $150 per vehicle present.

Just something I heard on the radio here a month ago when we had the fire bans here. Not sure how accurate the fines I quoted are, but better safe than sorry.

When I drove by the fire condition sign by the dump up from the dam, it didn't have the needle placed. I'm not sure if that means someone stole it or that there is no risk. The mud puddles are still wet along the road, and it is just starting to get dusty in some areas. We are expecting more rain this week, so we should be good to go.

the 509 had a fire ban sign and it read 'off'. that was just this past weekend (june 25th-26th) It's not quite calabogie but close enough
