I am relatively new/novice to 410's. I have been into Suzukis for years mostly Sammies and oldschool GT two stroke streetbikes. I picked up a 410k that I have begun resto-modding. I am currently in the research and parts collecting phase. The research, however, has made me develop a keen interest in the variations of the 410. How many different SJ410's are out there? Of course there is a tintop, soft top, (although I am unsure of there alphanumeric designation) and the LWB 410k (the pickup). What else is there?
Someone around here mentioned a 410x. What is the x designation for? Is there a LWB 410 besides the pickup?
I've done a considerable amount of searching only to find very conflicting information. As well many of the people I speak to have given me contradictory info. Maybe you enthusiasts can get me up to speed? I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Brent

These came to Canada and Stateside as well? The raised tops, I had thought were on a 413 platform or, that is, built after 1986. What are there alphanumeric designations?

In my searches I have found sj410 V, Q, and K's. I'm glad to have found some of this info. It seems like with age a lot of it is lost and unfortunately much of the stuff that is documented is incorrect.
I appreciate you cats helping me out and clarifying the info.

I've read that and it is partially what has sent me searching for more. Although it is a quaint look at the history I am more interested in the variations of the 410's themselves. As I am restoring my 410 I am looking to keep it as close to stock appearance on the inside as I can. After learning there are subtle differences it piqued an interest in me.
I am hoping to collect information to the same degree as other auto enthusiasts. A Doosy or Studebaker enthusiast can look at minute details and pick them apart. I'm wondering about the minute details of the 410's, you know, in the same way we know about the differences in the Sammies.
