Hi guys. anyone have any info on what solenoids need to be used for a warn 8274? mine is winching out, but only clicks when winching in. Any ideas what this could be other than that? It worked fine last time I used it three years ago....

Mudd machine... damn you.... I should have kept the one I got for you...:D

crack it open and have a looksie... my 9000i uses the 4 post style... im not sure but I think 8274 uses the 3 post... once u open it up and see which one is clicking u can grab one just like it from just about anywhere.. uap, crappy tire, Drive line products out in missisauga is the authorized warn repair guys, u can get the solenoids there too.. like 25 bucks a piece i think

Thanks... It actually doesn't have a cover over the solenoids... it is the 4 solenoids just sitting there on the metal braket. There used to be a plastic cover over them, but it was cracked. Are there part numbers, or just try to match one up?

Thanks John

take one, walk into ur local uap/napa.. tell em i need one.. if they get fancy tell em its for a high current winch.. they'll give u a beefy one.. 20-30 bucks i think.. thats it.. they're nothing special.. spretty run of the mill. I have one spare solonoid somewhere but i wont have time to even look for it till next week sometime if u cant find one

I thought that i hate a blown solenoid on my winh as well until i actually played with the connection and found that the controller just was not tight. Sounds silly to suggest but try that first.
