Not too often I post a link but this shit is kinda serious. Roll cages and harnesses are only a part of it. Just cause your caged doesnt mean jack shit, there's still lots of room for injury.

I'm Torn.
Zuks are small inside, you put a cage in it and it becomes smaller. For anyone over 5 feet tall this becomes a head hazard.
Exo Cages might be butt ugly but i wont be smashin my brain off it.

Dude, it's not a zook thing. We dont wheel on flat ground. Things may have a tendency to intrude your space. You may say "well if it's a big rock im rolling on, so what, Im toast". While this is true, keep in mind that something like a 'rounder' piece of bed rock may me contoured so it sticks in your window only an inch or so. A 'Violent" roll is something I havent encountered yet. But if I did..... Im sure id feel better with a brain bucket on

I've often considered a helmet and quite honestly never got past the consdieration stage... guess I've been lucky with myself and those around me.. now that I've gone taht next stage aned slammed in 5 point harnesses, a helmet is the next logical step.. will have to get a power vented one though :)

Sure, fill the cooler with beer and sit in yer livin room with yer helmet on :yike seriously speaking, the cooler thing wouldnt be hard to do. A 12v computer fan kinda thing is all you'd need.

my zuk was a hard top when i installed my roll cage..i find it makes it a bit tight near the feet and i only smack my head when we're heading down an access road to the trail. as far as a violent roll, i rolled at 50mph while on the road home. my zuk is now a soft top because the roof was pushed to the roll cage. i ended up cutting the roof off as the roll cage held up to the test.
no one was injured and she was back out on the trail 2 weeks later..

I would not give anyone any type of slack for wearing a helmet while trying an obstacle. I think it's a great idea. The closest i've come to rolling was endoing backwards on what seemed to be an innocent hill. I was almost straight up and down on this thing. It was onlt a little 12 inch step that popped me up to boot. Needless to say that neither passasanger or i were even wearing belts. Like i say it was "innocent" looking. Before you all start slapping my wrist, i know i know i know. and now i do. And if i ever thought that was to happen a helmet would have followed the belt.
Last falls mud bog Hoppin along took a few kids in the truck. They were ages 8 -13 and they all wore helmets or never rode. I Thought that was a super idea.
