getting ready to drop the twin cam in, which flyweel should i use?
the one from the swift is noticably lighter than the sami one. i,m putting in a new clutch as well so i need to order the proper one. the lighter one should spin up quicker, but would the sami flywheel give more torque? also what fuel pressure should i be running? everthing else is basicly a straight retro other than the wireing which i,ve ordered a shop manual to make things a little easier

thanks in advance for any info:yike :yike

Only samurai, both look the same but they are different. There is a little step in the samurai one if I remember correctly.

you need to use the complete clutch from the samurai. (flywheel, pressure plate and disk).

You MAY be able tu use the swift flywheel and pressure plate with the samurai disk. but I didn't tryed it. and I think that the release bearing is defferent so you cant use the swift pressure plate with the samurai trany.

BTW make sure tu use a new/good clutch. otherwise it will slip:bang:
I have the samurai clutch on my 1600 twincam and it slip bad when I get to hard on it.

machine ur flywheel down too... just did one today.. cost 30 bucks... worth the $$.. make sure machinist does both surfaces.. where the disk rides and where the pressure plate bolts too.. he'll have to pull the 3 dowels and preserve the difference in heights by the time hes done.

my 2 cents

thanks to both you guys, and also to the elusive Gordzuki.
i picked up a shiny orange dual friction from the local speed shop on my way home tonite.not bad....ordered tues and got it wed.i went with the sami set up just over $400 with thro-out,should outlive the dynapac clutch from crappy tire...it was only 3yrs old and was almost to the point of needing two feet to push in the pedal!:ro: :ro:
