Ive heard that all front end parts are interchangeable. Although the source of this info is sometimes flakey, I figured I'd ask to see if anyone else knows. Was told Duane from 3 Stooges 4x4 swapped an LJ front clip onto his sami tub. Whatcha think? Possible???

Anything is possible with enough welding and/or bondo...:brows:
The LJ body is quite a bit narrower than a Samurai one, probably easier to fab fenders from scratch and add an LJ hood to them... a princess auto tandem trailer fender when cut in half has almost exactly the same radius as an LJ fender... (I know.... )

here's yer answer Bud... i went out and rigged just the hood up fer ya, i didnt have the fenders off but this would give u an idea of how much work it would be. The last pic shows the contour on the tub itself.

no doubt it can fit, just not the easiest swap, and definatly not bolt in.

I can add a few inches in the middle to widen it. Anybody have an LJ hood for sale?

But then again, I will be tubing the front clip on mine so I don't think I will even need to make it fit since the fenders won't be there anymore.

Dude dovetail the front end to match the hood at the front and then widen only the back of the hood. It will keep the fab time down, look really cool and most of all it will be easier that putting in a weld line down the whole hood

Whatcha think

Ya ya, hack slash, done. Could be done in a few hours basically. I was told it was a direct swap. Obviously it's not. All I could see someone doing is swapping the fenders and usin the sami hood, at best as a bolt in. The pics show the difference. And Im not cuttin a hood. Matter of fact I dont have one to cut.
