There is a No Camping Ban around Black Lake in Ardbeg on long weekends.

Anyone inquire with the MNR about lifting the ban for an organized event.. perhaps even obtaining a "permit" if the fees are reasonable?
just a though

I believe the ban is only within a 1 KM radius of the lake.

Isn't that the best spot for campin? I have never been so I am going on what people can tell me. Is there another Single or collective spot that we can have 50 truck, 100 people, trailers and open space so that we can all visit each other, but also not have to step over each other?
I am willing to try to see if they will alow us to camp there over the long weekend , but I would like to visit the spot first before making up my mind.

You know, in all honesty, i don't see the problem with Calabogie at all. Sure the quinn is constantly changing and the to step is more like a speed bump to some and pinion pass only took me 4 years to conquer but if it aint broke why fix it.
I'd rather do calabogie like we have with capture the flag and the campsite etc.. Don't get me wrong i'd love to go somewhere else but it is not only the wheeling that attracts me. It's the company that shows. the different trucks that we wheel with and the good times had with it. So what.
It may be different for the ottawa crew casue you have the Pj party there and venture there alot but it is the same for us at greens. all i'm trying to say i guess is, I only make it once a year out that way and suzican is the reason.
Sure it benifits some to go and others can't make it due to distance and they would go cause it's closer But look at the turnout in Calabogie. Ever year has progressively produced more trucks.
