I wanna tow my ATV with my integra, they make a hitch rated at 2500lbs, wich is more than enough. My model of teg has no tow raing, but the other models have a tow rating of 1500lbs
So If you have a car that des not have a tow raitng, but you tow a small trailer. If you where to get pulled over, can you get a ticket?

if ur driving it then yes, u'll get a ticket... not for the traielr but for something else Im sure!
Many cars out there dont even have a tow rating on em. the tow rating is a manufacturer recomendation and really doesnt have much bearing on MTO. It comes down to a judgement call from the officer on how safe ur set-up is.
Take for example my truck.. it has a ow rating of 15,000 lbs off a fifth wheel set-up but thre are plenty of guys out there with 4 and 5 car trailers fully loaded that are way over the manufacturers rating. They upgrade their trucks to take the extra weight (air bags, heavier leafs, box the frame etc etc). Cops dont have a lsit of what ur tow rating is nor is it on most stickers on vehicles.. so as long as ur registered properly and ur set-up is safe to pull and stop, ur fine.

My 91 Teg had a centered tow ring under the rear bumper. The PO had installed a 1" receiver hitch that clamped this ring and bolted to something solid slightly above and behind that ring. At first I was skeptical but I put it to good use on many occasions and it never failed. The heaviest thing I was towing however was a snowmobile trailer with two sleds on it. If your car has this tow ring you could do the same. As far as being legal..........I have no clue.

P.S. I had a 90 Teg and sold it. Missed the car so I bought another one, the 91. Sold it and I really miss that car. I will probably own another one someday. I only like the 2nd gen body style though so finding one in good shape is tough.

Thanks guys :), i'll be way under 3000kgs

Not only that but I smoked my buddy in a race like that! :brows:
We were on our way to camp and I was towing the two sleds with the Teg. He was driving his 94 Toyota Extra-cab and towing two sleds in his trailer. Snowing like ten and basicaly a blizzard. We ended up at a light and of course he starts reving his sewing machine and puts it in 4 hi. Light turns green, he's gone! Finally my snow grips find some traction and about the same time he's running out of steam. Great low end on those 3VZEs but no top whatsoever. About 1/4 mile down I caught him and passed him, sleds and all! The look on his face was priceless! :bringiton
