anyone try this locker in the front? i got rid of my welded front cause it was way to hard to think about steering and most obstacles got boring fast... think this locker will make steering a reality again?

I have one at home now, I just haven't had the time to install it yet. I am going to get it done this weekend or during the week next week. From everything I have read it is a killer working locker.
I would buy one ASAP though, their introductory pricing is going away oct 1st I think.....
Hey, if your going to order let me know, we can share shipping because a buddy or two want one I think

if the latter, i can help with addresses and stuff but I cant cross the border personally to get em.
i emailed the company with some Q's and they were so fast to repsond that they forgot to even repsond! lol but the follow up email 1 minute later had their response :) I've been folowing them for a little while now and think I'll take the plunge....
sign me up for 2 of em with a shipping addy in buffalo to avoid certain nickle and diming efforts

this email convo posted with permission of the other party...
"I have no problem with you posting that response. You have a good site
there."

"You got it..you will find your steering smoother, except in the high
traction, very low speed turn I mentioned.
We are looking at the Suzuki product line. There are a lot of issues with
the diffs in the Suzuki vehicle that make the development of one that will
be as reliable as we would require, an engineering challenge. But we do
know that there are a lot of them out there and that they are great rock
climbers, so we will continue the engineering review. But at best, it would
be in the spring before we could have on available.
Great site by the way.

kewl, got the email this time - tx
so by allowing that outside wheel to spin up faster, means my steering
will not be as hard and will not zero itself back to center in such a
hurry?
i did catch the review on pirate - hence the follow up visit to ur site
and now the emails :) a link was posted to our suzuki website...

Muslug Did you get the locker installed after and how did it work and what were the good and bad pionts about it. i have two coming soon and a few others as well and would like a heads up. How was the install and how were the instructions to install it. C'mon spill the beans.
Did you get in on the birfield price war while it lasted? Just got mine in the mail today. I would have taken pics of it but i don't have a digi camera cause i spent all my money on birfs and lockers!!!:D

It works really really well, there is no typical ratcheting noises and the "bang" is no exsistent. If you really start hammering on it around corners you can hear it ratcheting but regualr duty is quiet.
Install was a snap, the little springs and pins were the hardest point but with two small screwdrivers you will be OK.
Birfs? no not yet...I got other things on the go right now....:D
