And what modifications have you done?
I was thinking of downsizing to 30-31s on the samurai for daily driving instead of 33s.

I used to daily drive mine, the first three years i owned it it was our only vehicle. then we bought my wife bought a car and i drove the truck to work and back for the next 3 years.
I miss driving the samurai to work, i was always ready to go wheeling, because nothing mechanical would show up at the last minuite.

I would sugest a set 30-31" tires, and something skinny and all A/T or even more street like. Mud tires suck on wet/snow covered pavement. i think the idea tire would be a 31x9.50 bfg a/t.

I drove mine on 31"x10.50 dunlop radial rovers, they were great for the street. much better than the bfg mud's i ran offroad.

Also get better seats and move them back just a bit.

yup, i am a Honda guy, i have had 5 88-92 Civics/CRXs over the last few years.
My favorite OEM seats are the 89-91 Civic/CRX Si seats
if you wanna know what seats you have post a pic i can tell you what year Honda they came from :)

i used to drive mine daily, but only in the summer. Little or no heat, ithink the mud might have something to do with that.

Quit running it daily when i got the boggers, then i put a mini spool in the back and shes a trailer queen now.

Go with a 235 or 30x9.5, i had a set of polar trax snows and they worked great even on ice

When I was in Toronto, I used to drive my 30x9.50 SJ410 daily for about 150km commute. Summers and winters. The locker in the rear take some getting used to in icy conditions but not a problem if you are aware of it.
As ZC911 said, the CRX/Civic Si seats are so nice and easy to install. I am running swift GTi seats now, a bit more work, but definelty worth it. You won't believe how much difference the seats make until you try it.

i drove mine up and down the 400 everyday goin back and fourth from maple (canadas wonderland) to barrie for two years. since i got a new job with a company vehicle i dont drive it as much but if i have to i will. i do drive to the trails and drive home as long as its no more than 2.5 hrs each way and its not the comfort that bothers me its the noise. i have honda prelude seats in mine and they are very comfie. it will take some getting used too.

And GearHead is bo small guy too. If he can feel comfortable in a Zuk, anyone can. Trust me he is broad in the shoulders too. Keep the zuk, buy some Canadian tire 31's for the winter ( the T-birds would have sucked anyways ) and enjoy. The main problem is thatyou havn't wheeled the thing yet.:D

GearHead

I would not compare it to a car, but it not too bad.
I love the little S.L.U.T. which makes it fun to drive.
I also love driving to an event, wheeling all weekend and then driving home. last tow years i have driven to suzican from hamilton, towing a trailer.
yes more sholder room would be nice. In the winter i just drive with my left arm.

acutally the car i dirve everday int he summer has no defogger, no sound insualtion, loud exhasut, race only suspension, and fixed back fiberglass race seats lol don;t tlel me about think skinned :D :D

The thing that is pissing me off is the lack of steering control although it is MUCH MUCH better now.

ANd yesterdya the lack of HEAT:bang: i had ot drive home in the rain with the window open to keep the front window from fogging uo :( that was a long COLD WET drive lol

Do a search on www.izook.com and look for thier "heater fix" It's about drilling a hole in the heater core box and vaccuuming it out to rid of all the leaves that gather and clog up the system.
I remember the 1 year that my zook had heat too (sniff sniff) i would give you better details on how to do it but i have not gotten to it yet. Ttrust me "it is on the list"

I cut a little square outta my heater box (bout 1 inch by 1 inch) - just enugh to get a garden hose in there and flush the hell outta it after major mud runs - make sure tur drain holes are open in ur zuk cause it makes a mess - but i have great heat in my zuk now - all I need is doors a roof and windshield to keep it in now! :)

lemme know if u want a pic of where to make the hole so u dont hit the heater core

Lack of streering control?? By a cross over and a steering stabilizer. I had that on my SJ and i could go over train tracks at 95km with one hand on the wheel.

Mudslug

Yep, bump steer was gone. However my tire were skinny compared to yours...that may make a difference.

Cross over is the shiz.
