still looking for possible causes for my grinding sound,
so, I did a search.
this got me thinking, when i got my new locking hubs, they
were a little crusty so, i cleaned them up and greased them.
one of the posts i seen in my search said to "lightly" grease
the hubs. as with everything , if a little is good then alot
must be really good, could i have used too much grease in the hubs ???

Alot of grease won't hurt anything. It just makes for very sluggish operation. But if you did manage to break the hub, it would definately make a horrible sound. In my experience, the Asin hubs do not break. Usually the only bolts holding them on will break if they get loose. Remove the 8, 10mm bolts holding the cover on and take a look inside. If there is a problem, you'll see it right away, there isn't much room in there for debris to hide. Don't forget to put it in "free" before you pop it off, or you'll be playing the puzzle game.
