OK guys and Gals, I am looking for some input on this one. I currently run the 6.4:1 T-case gears and stock 3.73 gears with the 34" LTB's. I can run 2500 RPB at 80K and if I want to I can step it up to 100K. My Current crawl ratio is 87:1 and I do most obsticles at a Crawl and even most of the trails I try and just run second low at 2000-2500 RPM. Now my question is, Should I look at going to 4.62 or even as high as 5.13's to gain back my Hi Range. I have run the numbers annd to be honest I could still street it with either in there, but it is going to rev alot higher. Here are the numbers I have run, give me any input that you might have, I am open to all suggestions.
Current 3.73 Gears Crawl Ratio 87:1 2500 RPM at 50MPH
4.62 Gears Crawl Ratio 108:1 3200 RPM at 50MPH
5.13 Gears Crawl Ratio 120:1 3500 RPM at 50MPH
My Machine crawls well now for what I do, but like anything, I can always use more crawl ratio LOL. The reason for wanting to do this is as I mentioned get my High back for the trails. I hate being in real deep and only being able to back up in low range as it is not able to spin the tires fast enough in High. We do alot of trails and Mud here, with some climbing. Let me know what you guys think.

i currently run 5;29 with the 6.5;1 t-case gears.max speed in high is about 80-90km,why would i want to go any faster than that,i geared it like that because of lack of displacement under the hood, now i wheel all the time in high and get crazy in low range, thats what its for.thats why they call it crawl ratio!!not trail ratio!!

I'm doing this setup in my winter buildup. 4.11 toys, 4.16 or baby lobster t'case (same 12%lower hi range) turning 34"LTB's. that'll get the speedo back to stock (or very close to)
