I'm in for sure, name time and date and I will fire up George and be there...I should have my winch on by then but even if I don't I am locked front and rear at 188:1 so I go some pull.
Plus I got straps out the hoo ha and this just sounds like a strap breaking adventure
Coolio!!

well they had a train of trucks trying to get them out. they managed only half the distance they needed. apparently the big j-e-e-p is stuck the worst.
still waint on a PM back with more info.
The more trucks the more winches = less time in the cold :D

If those trucks are as stuck as u make it sound z.. george aint gonna do nutin but spin tires even if it is soo slow that u can barely make it out! the only way I can see getting those out is with brute force (mega snapping on the tow lines) or tie the recovery vehicle off to a tree and winch the suckers out..
but i still wanna see pics of the recovery effort :)

Cool!! George is sitting in Bobcaygeon right now cooling his heels which means I don't have to far to go
If that truck is stuck in gear how will they get it home? Do you want me to find some sort of trailer for the guy? Its going to cost some dough (gas time etc) but I could probably find someone

i was just talking to my passanger on sunday about that, cause he has a truck/trailer.
So if you bring a truck/trailer to haul one, we can haul the other

its hard to believe people still go wheeling without a winch. you,re going to have lots of fun trying to get them moving, with sitting all week the mud/ silt will settle back around everythingand it will be like pullinga tree stump.
if you can,you should try to break a path trhough the mud 1st, of course being carefull not to be the 3rd victim.
good luck and i hope all goes well

hope they,re not blocking access to the hunt camps. the moose hunt was on last week and the deer hunt starts on monday . you might run into some crusty hunters.

I wheeled without a winch for 14 years, and Got stuck plenty.
A winch can be expensive, and as much as I would like one on my nex't zook,it isn"t going to be a priority. Not everybody can afford to shell out for all the goodies we would like, hell I can't afford a free lunch!
Oh yeah.....I sure as hell would not of left my Zook there for a week:yike ....they will be lucky if there is anything left of them when they get back there.

i agree.
Having a winch is nice, but you can get buy without one.
Its nice to make sure that at least on person in the group has a working winch and they are willing to use it.
I would have never left my truck for a week, especialy out of town. Overnight maybe. I would try to get there saturday if you could, maybe know one has found it yet.
i hope its all still there when you arrive.

As far as a winch goes, I know they're expensive... but a decent one can be found from 300 to 500 bucks used....
Seriously guys... a winch can be expensive, but if you don't have one, it's a really good idea to wheel with someone who does... or stuff like this might happen, and then... You lose more than the 500 bucks if some goof finds your truck in the woods and decides to burn it or steal it...
I sincerely hope the trucks are still there and still in ok shape.
I think maybe rather than post where the trucks are, we post that help is needed within a certain distance of somewhere, and do the rest by pm, or phone. Otherwise we risk someone with lower morals reading the post and being an asswipe.
