I just bought an LJ 80 and I am picking it up on sunday, I was just wondering if anyone knows what one of these in good shape is worth?.
(a little bit above the wheels has been plugged and painted in the rear but the rest and the doors are in really good shape)

LJ's are an odd sort, extremely rare but the market isnt related to the general principal of supply and demand.
Typically an LJ80 in good condition will be $1500-3000, mint ones have sold for more but rarely do.
Welcome to the LJ family!! ( i have a couple)
Check out www.lj10.com for any specific info u need or pm me.

The Sarge is dead on.
But if you really wanted a great deal on it, you should have had Sarge buy it, lets say he got it for $1500. You would then find it a week later in the for sale section here at a greatly reduced price. The problem with these great deals is, it usually starts an "I'm interested, PM me with details" war between him and Superzuk. He'd most likely buy it back off himself gaining a substantial profit to fund his next project. (which will be in the for sale section in two weeks, look for it):thefinger

Finally got around to taking some pictures of the little fella! It is a little dark in the barn I stored it in so the pics are not perfect.

From those pics it looks to be in pretty decent shape. Or is the darkness hiding something? :brows:

Over all it is really good, the fenders and hood are perfect, the doors our good, the drivers floor and about an inch above the wheel wells has been fixed at one time.

Well usually all my plans start with, How can I fit a big block in here.:D
but this time I think I will leave it as is for now It is actually too nice to beat the living crap out of and I don't seem to be able to wheel without doing just that, so the plan is to get it running and just tour around a little bit in it and go from there. Kind of funny that one cylinder of my current rig produces more HP than this hole truck.

LOL, Hey John, missed you at nhtti. How come you don't go in ORCC ? Seems like your truck would be well set up to run the courses there.

I have had full intensions to go. This past year I took too long doing my
full hydro, the year before I was building the house, and the year before
that I tried to cut my fingers off. I was there, I just didn't compete. If
the cards are right, I will give it a go this year.

Good Deal, this year went well and they need more people to compete to help it grow. Plus you & full load have rigs that are suited well for the courses up there and I know both of you can wheel.
