its a 83 sj with sammy axles and 1.6 fuely engine, spring over and trail springs.

I am redoing my suspension and going edelbrock extreme ias shocks which are a autovavling shock and sissor shackles and are 5" closed and 9.5" open.
How do they work on the trail or going through a bogg?

I am thinking of puting a 3500 ohm resister in place of the IAT sensor, fool the puter to thinking it 0 degrees out and add more fuel, or should i take the T-stat out and run the engine at 150 degrees instead of 190, then the engine will keep the choke on and give it more fuel.

Is there any other easy and cheap upgrade that would work?http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?bg=FFFFFF&image=http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/4/web/2452000-2452999/2452534_1_full.jpg

i want to get through this hole at ardbeg, it ate my truck once, got stuck once.

Looking at those pics, not sure what the more fuel will help with, what killed the first pass, ran out of power or water in the motor/electrical? I think the Revolver shackles are great for flex, but in a straight hole, they will not help much. I think if it is a power issue, then up the gearing, those little resistors are not going to give you enough power to do any better. I have heard mixed on them and I am not really willing to try it as even my little 8V has no problem moving me through mud and water far deeper than that. My $.02 look at gears and go from there.

Adding more fuel without any engine mods could possably make things worse and lose more needed power.do you have any mods done already? unless you have stuff like cam, high flow air filter, exhaust, ect.the best way to get cheep power is a good tune up.a bad sensor, filters, timing, compression can kill power.make sure you engine is healthy and properly tuned first.
