My SJ is down to about 20. What have you found to be a viable swap?

Actually the SJ was 54 Hp and the 800cc LJ was 45 Hp.
As far as motor swap, use what you can get.

hey mudlite, what are some things to have lookout for on 4.3 swap. I have a 4.3 with 700R4 avail. Lightning will swap me out the 700 for a 200R4 that fits better. I need to trim trans tunnel on pass side ,use howell harness, and have custom rad built ,right? Details?

Read this first. Not saying that mudlite has a bad combo cause he doesn't it actually smokes but he did all the fabbing on his own and never had lightening conversions installed.

I just don't want to see you bite off more than you can chew.

Thanks, I saw that thread and did some other research too. There is a LOT of details in this swap. Being an SJ , it is not just a bolt in deal to put a 1.3 or 1.6 in or I would probably go that route. I am fairly good with fabbing ( I built my own 3" lifts on a couple subarus ) but if I run into serious snags I can run over to lightning and get a part. Is there still a pic page for mudlite? I would like to see his radiator design. I am starting to regret selling that toyota with the low mileage hemi in it.:D

I haven't done alot to the web site in a long time. There is some info there but not alot. I dodn't want to go into too much detail because you start to have people asking too many questions.
Biggest thing to look for is the exhaust manifolds ( tight!!!!!!)
