Im just about to pull out what hair I have left! Been trying 1.6l conversion, and I have been trying to wire the 1.6l ecm into my zook. I thought I had it beat but it will not fire off its own fuel system(directly injected through air horn truck will run!!!) ANYONE with some info or a diagram would be a big help!!!!!
Newbies need help too!!!!!!!!!!

T in on the pressure line and make sure you have good pressure. Been awhile but I think you want 39-43psi.
disconnect the injector and pin in with a noide light to make sure its toggling properly, well toggling at all. The ecm toggles the injector by providing the ground on the 8valves. Not sure on the 16's

Maybe cause you won't see 12 volts from the injector. A good heathy injector should read 1.0-1.3 ohms sometimes if they sit too long dry they seize up. Push the tip a bit with a pen or something to try and help free it up. If not replace with a known good one.

I know that the computer needs a "start" signal to supply fuel while the truck is starting, or trying to.
I tried to make the efi as stand alone as possible.
From memory, i have them written down somwhere, conected to the the original wiring are;
12v constant (battery)
12v swiched (run, used the original carb fuel shutoff relay wire)
12v start (from the starter relay wire)
Tack signal (from the coil)
my efi is from a 89 8v kick.

Thnx for the info Steve I actualy got it right!! But for some reason I have to run a relay off the red inj+ wire to fire 12v to the injector and magicly it runs!!! This has been my first conversion Im used to 1.3 with a pony carb!!! Its been lots of trial and error made everything from scratch so far! I still need a front bumper and a good top if you know of any?
