I had to travel out of town last week and I saw these two LJs in a field off the road so I thought I would snap some pics and post them up.

They are up on HWY 17 near Sowerby, which is between Iron Bridge and Thessalon. That's an 8 hour drive (one way) for you so how bad do you want it? I did take down some information and can probably get you a name and phone number if you want.

I reached the owner and he does not want to sell either of them. He says he has a list of people who have already tried to buy them off him. I asked if I could give you his number so that you could reach him yourself and his exact words were, "there really is no use in doing that". He's an older gentleman and he told me his grandson is nearing the age to learn how to drive a manual and that is what he is keeping them for. I will PM you his number if you really want it but I'm pretty sure he won't sell. I did ask him if it wasn't for sale at any price and he chuckled. He said for what he could get for them it's not worth it because it's so much fun to drive. I never mentioned you only wanted the top though. I didn't want to make him feel like it was being treated as a parts truck because he was super nice and genuine on the phone.

Ok kewl, i appreciate the insight, ive never seen that exact hardtop figured it'd be nice to have, ah well sounds like he's got constructive plans for them

Howdy Sarg!
I've actually got one of those hardtops ! :brows:

PM me and we can talk about it...

I'm waiting for a few bugs to get worked out here :rant: so I can post some pics of more LJ stuff I'm hoping to sell in the near future.

(like a grill/hood/firewall combo for someone wanting to make a buggy look like an LJ...)
