Yes, well as Ray once said :"Let's see how long it will go this time".

I broke the damn ****ing crossmember that holds the rear swingarm again. ****!

Now, of course this had to happen when I have to drive to school tommorow and go to work afterwards... How the **** am I gonna do that without wheels? ****!

Anyways, I managed to get it home and right now my plan is to make a new swingarm out of sqare tubing. OR I could always repair the old one, but it is really really thin.

OR I could remove the rear swingarm and drive shaft, keep it in 4WD and only use front wheel drive. Should work? right? OR is that too "Depot"?

Anyways, I had to vent that out before I went out there and trew a goddam wrench trough my windshield.

Later.

Here is a bit better pic of what we (well, ok fine Ray) was welding.

But still, you cant see it all that well, One thing I do know is that the re-enforced unit weighed about 2-3 times as much as the original.

My goal was to make it bomb proof .... or as Ray said it "Mars Proof" lol.

MOVE THE DAMN TANKS!!!!!

Depot

i know pics are deceiving but are those torch tanks really that close to where ur welding? If so, like sarg says, MOVE EM!!!

Imagine this if u will... U might think, what can happen, after all the tanks are steel and ur not wleding that much near em.. well how bout those hoses, if u burn one tiny little hole through em while welding nearby and never notice it.. now the next time u run the torches, u might not hear that leak. Now lets pretend by some fluke chance that leak ignites... Do u have flashback arrestors on ur tanks? Even if u do, they are not 100%.

i just wanna know, do u think the 'no smoking' sign would survive that pop?

I know its unlikely but still, betteer safe than sorry.

The tanks are right against the wall... about 2-3 feet away I guess. We have always welded right there. Daddy has had them there since the garage was built.

I will mention it to him, he is usually "Mr. Safety" and makes me wear my glasses, and put extra stands under my truck when I am under there. (So I don't think he is trying to kill me)

How far should those tanks be?

hehe (oops)

Thanks.
