Hey Guys,
Well my project is slowly pickinh up momentum. I bought the LWB (http://www.zookpower.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=6512) before Christmas and this weekend I picked up:
- Toyo axles
- Toyo 5 speed
- Toyo / Marlin dual tcase
- YJ Leafs
I was hoping that I could tap into the knowledge base here to get some tips on the drivetrain install. My goal is to use an ACME adapter (http://www.acmeadapters.com/store_engine.php) to mate a B4 Passat VW TDI to the Toyo drivetrain with a complete YJ spring suspension from Trail Tough (http://www.trailtough.com/suspension1.htm).
I'll soon have some pictures of my rig and new bounty.

I bought the complete case used.
It's fully assembled and it has stock gears 1:2.28 and 1:2.28. My TDI setup will have similar torque numbers to the 22RE and I plan on running 35's.
How well does it work for you?

Ya ya ya, at least I have an excuse. I am always building other people shiat...I am putting an end to that this summer though. I have 2 cars to do this winter and then my Yota comes into the garage for some love.
New steering, new exo cage, yadda yadda.
But the dual case is awesome, I went with 2.28 in the front case and 4.7 in the rear and its a fawking tractor!! You will love it, I wish I had a diesel, thats the only thing that would make it better.

Still gathering shiat. I'm going to get my Sami this weekend so I can get her Canada Day ready. Gotta make some room, hence all the for sale shit. Waiting on more tools to be delivered (Plasma, bender). I'll start on it in May is my best guess.

NP, I've been using the chop saw coping method myself and love the fit I get. I've been thinking with your cool little pin coping stencil the plasma could have another good use.

Hey guys it's been a while, but here's an update on the truck:
- Truck completely stripped of driveline and drivetrain
- Toyo axles completely rebuilt using Toyota parts
- Purchased 220 volt welder an honing my mad welding skills
- 90% complete installing Trail Tough YJ kit adapted to Toyo axles. Just waiting to get custom u-bolts for the front axles and connect hi-steer
- Looking for a TDI donor vehicle since i sold my Passat TDI for an insane amount, it's getting harder to find with the high fuel prices and people will pay stupid money for them.
I need a set of 16x10" wheels and tire to get her rolling.
