For those of u that are running a centered rear diff like toy axels... what kinda driveshafts are u running?

I've heard a lot of gabble lately about cv's vs u-joints vs double cardens and how they handle vibrations and so forth.

I wana hear from ppl that actually have some first hand experience with this and not what u heard.

i run a toy diff with ceneterd rear pumpkin, custom driveshafts with u-joint on t-case side and u-joint on pumkin side. And i just dont seem to have this vibration that everyone seems to be so concerned about. What I do have is this very loud rattle when Im coasting and thats coming from the slop in the splines in the shaft itself. is this the vibrations that ppl are so afraid of with centered rear diffs and hence go gaga with cv's?

rockrat - u sell adapters for toy cv shafts. i'd love to get ur input here. u have bad vibes from using centered rear diffs? under accelerate, decelerate or coast or all?

We put a custom lenght CV style shaft in Scott's zook and it's pretty smooth. The only vibrations come from it not being balanced, we made it on his garage floor.:D

I have seen a few people with both so I do not think it really matters as much as people say it does. However I went Double Cardin front and rear.

I used a front shaft from a 4 runner as i used a sidekick rear end,i shortened it myself and i get a little vibration only because it is not balanced.

i run the kick rear and stock sami driveshaft, little or no vibration but i do have the rattle when coasting or comeing off the throttle.

if i do end up useing the toyo axles, i have the cv front shaft so i,ll use it in the rear

any pricing on this yet? http://www.4play4wheelers.com/probucket1.jpg

looks like good protection for the t case.

After I mount up the axles I have to see if there is enough room for the adapters. By the looks of them in the pics they look to be about 1" thick. My pinion will be longer than a toy mini tuck axle so ill measure it up and ill send you the info.

Thanks
