If you want travel and flex, you need a long travel shock.
Look at Rancho in the aplication section and find the 13" travel shock. It is 32" extended and 19" compressed. You will have to modify the bushing at one end to a pin or change the mounting system at the front.
My future will be with Fox!!!!!

I run trailmaster SSV's 29 inchers - eye t eye pattern. they are relativly inexpensive and do a decent job. be prepared to redesign everything when u push long shocks like those or bigger.. now ur getting into shock hoops or different angles to get em to fit and work.
trial and error seems to be the only way.. be wary of axel wrap, that can rip shocks to pieces if u dont compensate or stop it from happening.
my 2 cents - u owe me change with interest!

If you,re not going too tall, u can use 85 toyo 4x4 in rear. u just need to move the mounts on the axle out a couple inches.
In the front with a spring over and 2" arch i used Rancho F150 shocks for a 4 inch lift.
My lower shock mounts are like the Petro works mounts, welded onto the old spring perches with 5/16" plate and the sami shock stud i cut off the spring plate.
This allows for a longer travel shock without having to fab up shock hoops. Its fairly clean and i have never been hung up on a lower shock mount

Just to get me outta the stock shock jam i was in after my SPOA i used a universal lower shock mount in the front and the shock came out of the rear of a 1987 monte carlo. It is an inch too short cause of the lower bracket which limits my flex a bit but it works. I am also running the universal shock mount in the rear off the axle and an 1985 toy shock. I need to move the mounts on the top inboard cause under extreme stuff it will bottom out which means that my shock is an inch too long!!! whatta ya expect for free shocks.
It will be fixed over the winter. Ford shock towers in the front and inboarded upper rears all with toy shocks!!!
