Hey y'all....may have just scored a Dodge Dakota 2wd from my Dad for free...*happy dances*. Hoooray for a Tow Vehicle and less stress off-roading. Poor girl needs small odds and sodds, the biggest being a leaking rear axle seal. Any body have any experience with Dodge's and Axle seals?? Should I do the bearings at the same time? Would lucas seal it well enough to drive home about 300 km, from Angus to Sarnia, or should I look at changing this in my sisters driveway?? Any thoughts and advice on this beast would be IMMENSLY appreciated!

hey bud congrats on the score!!
now u should know that a leaky rear axl seal means replacing the seals and the brake shoes due to oil contamination..(fawk my spelling sucks!!)
the more it leaks or have leaked and is visable on the backing plates the worse condition and less your rear brakes will work.these are easy to change and dosent take that long to do...giver...so does this mean you are attending suzican now??:D
