How far up does the slip control go? sure 4 feet of slip is cool but if the slip portion is only controlled by 2 inches of D shaft them its kind weak....

What you see is fully extended and the whole splined section dissappears when the machine moves, so it utilizes full travel :yike

Ya but the piece that actually holds the splinded piece...where the splines run through does that extend throughout the shaft or is the control spot only 2 inches deep and then the splined shaft just sits in the larger shaft with no control....

I understand what you are saying and cant give you an answer. What I can tell you is at max rpm the shaft seems very stable and tight.
